One of the currently most useful resources available for communicating with other people related to surface science is the Surface Science Western at the University of Western Ontario mailing list. We are currently working on either transferring or integrating the SSW mailing list to the surface science network forum. Until we achieve the integration, we have begun a new forum section containing messages that have been sent to the SSW mailing list. In this way, the search engine of the forum can be used to search older posts that might helpful.

Future Projects

PhD and MSc Thesis database. It is often the case that Theses include experimental details and other relevant information that is not included in journal articles. Furthermore, theses usually include useful background information about the topic so that the actual data is easier to interpret for people that are not experts in the specific research under study. For these reasons, we are planning to put together a database of surface science related theses. Please let us know your thoughts about this idea and/or email a copy of your thesis (or a link to access it).

Please forward to others that might find this useful.

Surface Science Search Engine

Check out the customized search engine (at the top of the main page) that only gives results from surface science related webpages. The search engine is powered by Google ®. It is already active but we are still working on further improvements.
