Surface Science Network 2nd Newsletter

Welcome to the second newsletter of the Surface Science Network. A little later than originally expected, but finally here. If you are not subscribed to the newsletter yet, you can subscribe in the main page.

Note in the list of upcoming meetings an interesting option  for an on-line version of the ICSOS conference. Link.  The abstract submission deadline is Feb. 23.

We are still working on the integration of the mailing list from Surface Science Western into a more user friendly format that also allows to search for useful content in archived messages. We are currently testing Google Groups as an option and it seems to work quite well, especially because it has a very efficient search algorithm. Currently all messages sent to the SSW mailing list are being stored there and, if you subscribe to the group, you will receive also these messages by email. Follow this link to subscribe and test this feature.

Surface Science Thesis and CV’s

PhD and MSc Theses database. It is often the case that Theses include experimental details and other relevant information that is not included in journal articles. Furthermore, theses usually include useful background information about the topic so that the actual data is easier to interpret for people that are not experts in the specific research under study. For these reasons, we have just begun a section for surface science related theses. Please let us know your thoughts about this idea and/or email a copy of your thesis (or a link to access it).

CV’s. We will also begin a section for hosting the CV’s. Please send us yours. This section is currently under construction and will be available shortly.
